3-Year Old Preschool Classes
This 2-day/week program introduces children to alphabet sounds, formation and recognition. In addition, children are introduced to a variety of subjects and themes. This mixed-age class allows first-year preschool students to progress at a higher rate as they are taught by interaction with older children. Projects and games, and art-work are age-appropriate and reinforce concepts being taught.

4-Year Old Preschool Classes
This 3-4 day/week program teaches children phonics, as well as letter sounds, formation and recognition. Through our unique program developed by Miss Sam, graduating students are able to read short, age-appropriate books depending on individual skill level. In addition, children learn a variety of subjects and themes as well as numbers and early math skills. Projects, games, and art-work are age-appropriate and reinforce concepts being taught.

Kindergarten Readiness Class
This 5-day/week class encompasses everything we teach throughout the week. Open only to entering Kindergartners, children are taught at a higher level in this class. This include a higher level of phonemic awareness and reading, through games, activities, and projects. In addition, this class gives children a more in-depth experience through activities such as painting outside like Monet, or collecting leaves and inspecting them under a microscope to examine variations in pigmentation.

Fabulous Friday
This once/month class gives preschoolers the opportunity to rotate through several Shining Stars centers in one class period and is a favorite of most students.
