The Dance Project SLC
2477 Fort Union Blvd, #105, Cottonwood Heights

Please have your child wear blue denim jeans/shorts or skirts and their 2021 School Shirt (NO OVERALLS and NO FLIP-FLOPS).  Please take your child to the restroom prior to dropping them off at 9:15am.  With so many kids, it is VERY difficult to do bathroom breaks.  Please be prompt in dropping off and picking up your child.  I will open the door to the Studio when I am ready for kids to come in and be picked up.  This will take the place of class on that day.  Please note that parents are not permitted to stay for this event. Please see the Graduation Events Letter for times specific to your class.

Morning Classes Graduation Programs

5/17/2021
All Morning Class Students
(No Class for Afternoon Students)
The Dance Project SLC
2477 Fort Union Blvd, #105, Cottonwood Heights

Dress:  Your child will need to be dressed in blue denim jeans/shorts or skirts, and their 2021 School Shirt (NO OVERALLS and NO FLIP-FLOPS).  Please make every effort to keep the shirt clean and nice for their special day.

Girls:  Please do not wear hair up (in a “pony-tail”, bun/s, etc).  Graduation hats do not stay on with these super cute hair-styles.  If your child wears a skirt, they will be required to wear some type of shorts under their skirt

All kids:  NO FLIP FLOPS. We have discussed this in class, and demonstrated pros and cons of these shoes.  We would appreciate your support.  Every year I have at least one parent send their child in flip flops, and they inevitably fall off or trip at some point in the program.   Thanks for helping our program run smoothly in this way!

Time:  Please bring your child to the REHEARSAL/PREP ROOM AT THE BACK OF THE Studio at your designated time.  Please do not arrive late, as it will make things more difficult for all involved, and is inconsiderate to those who plan ahead and are on time.  Your child will be prepared in class so they will know that you will be dropping them off and then going in the studio to sit down.  The program will last about an hour.  There will be photo displays set up for families to take pictures AFTER the performance.

Video/Photography:  Video recording of the program is permitted and there will be a photographer video recording the program.

Admission:  There is no cost for admission to the program and we welcome family that would like to support your child on this very special day!  Please wear masks for anyone over the age of 6. Also, to continue to comply with local rules, please be respectful in limiting the number of invited guests.

A Few More Things:

*The cap and gown that your child will wear should be left with the Assistant Teachers after the program.  If you are taking pictures, please remember to return the cap and gown right after pictures so they can be cleaned and prepared for the next group.

*Please make sure your child has a healthy breakfast and good night’s sleep prior to coming to the program.  I want them to have all of the energy possible to help them participate.

*Please take your child to the restroom just before you drop them off at your designated time.  We will not stop the program for bathroom breaks once it has started, but there is a bathroom at the studio in case of emergency.

*Please encourage your child to smile during the program and participate as it will give your child a sense of accomplishment.

Come to Mountview Park at 9:30am for a fun treat!  We will get to take part in a reptile show presented by Scales and Tales Utah.  The presentation itself will start promptly at 10:00am, will last for 45 minutes to an hour, and will include a hands-on experience for everyone.  Everyone is invited (including siblings – (as it will be at the park) and parents can plan to stay.  Bring a blanket because we will be sitting on the grass.  We will have donuts and juice and I have a special gift for each preschooler.
